Tosa Sameura stands out as the only roadside station in the region offering guided kayaking on the pristine waters of the Seta River Gorge, where crystal-clear streams wind through ancient forests. Visitors can also experience hands-on woodcraft at Semeura Workshop, where local artisans transform sustainably harvested timber into unique, functional art. The station’s signature dish, a richly seasoned岭北ビーフ (Ryokoku beef) bowl made with locally raised Tosa Akagashi cattle, is available only here.

• Best Arrival Time: Visit between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM on weekdays to avoid the midday rush and secure a seat at the restaurant Yosaku, which can get crowded by noon.

• Hidden Gems: Check the "さめうら工房" (Sameura Workshop) display near the information corner to see handcrafted wooden items made from locally sourced thinned forest timber—many are one-of-a-kind pieces not sold elsewhere.

• Weekend Special: On weekends, visit the outdoor BBQ area known as "土佐あかうし手ぶらでBBQ" (Tosa Akagushi Bare-Hand BBQ) between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM to use the provided grills and purchase ready-to-cook Tosa Akagushi beef skewers from the on-site vendor.

• Foodie Tip: Order the "嶺北ビーフの牛丼" (Ryokoku Beef Donburi) at the restaurant Yosaku before 12:00 PM—this dish is only available until 1:00 PM and is frequently sold out by early afternoon.

• Timing for Events: Visit the information corner between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM on the first Saturday of each month to pick up event schedules and participate in free guided nature walks around the Ōyama Trail, which begin at 11:00 AM.

• Accessible Access: Use the designated disabled parking spot near the main entrance and access the restroom with universal seating by entering through the side entrance marked with a blue sign—this route avoids stairs and is fully accessible.

• Shower Use: Use the shower room between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on weekdays to avoid the evening rush; showers are available until 6:00 PM but are often occupied after 5:00 PM, especially during summer.
