The roadside station is home to the region’s only dedicated "ikameshi" specialty, with the original recipe crafted from locally caught squid, and features the unique "Sakura Hitohira" dessert, made with blossoms from the world’s only known solitary cherry tree in the nearby Ogishigarden.

• Best Arrival Time: Visit between 9:15 AM and 9:45 AM on weekdays to secure a spot at the rooftop observatory before the morning crowds arrive, as the view of Mount Komagatake is most striking during this quiet window before 10:00 AM.

• Hidden Gems: At the first-floor specialty shop, look for the "Kuri-Rin Fromage" (Chestnut Cheese) displayed near the back wall—this locally-made cheese is only available in limited quantities and often sells out by midday.
