Insider Tips

Plan your visit around seasonal events and check opening hours—winter hours are shortened and some services are limited.

  • Best Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:30 AM on weekdays to secure a seat at the na tsu zora dining area before the morning rush, as the "Otofuke Milk Bread" from the bakery is freshly baked and sold out by 11:00 AM daily
  • Hidden Gems: Visit the "Snow Moon" (Yukitsuki) shop inside the Natsuzora area between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM to sample the limited-edition seasonal milk chocolate that is only available during the winter months (November–March)
  • Weekend Special: On Saturdays, head to the Natsuzora Mid-Field Plaza between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM for the Step Sports Hokkaido pop-up, where you can test-run running shoes and receive a free sample pack of trail socks with purchase
  • Photo Opportunities: Take a photo with the 2-meter-tall Godzilla figurine near the central stage in the Natsuzora area, especially during the Duo Tsumugi concert on November 6, when the stage is decorated with special lighting and props
  • Money Savers: Purchase the "Yukitsuki Special Combo" at the Snow Moon shop on weekdays (11:00 AM–3:00 PM) to get a 10% discount on a box of seasonal sweets when paired with a bottle of local milk
  • Avoiding Crowds: Skip the main entrance between 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM on weekends; instead, enter through the north parking area and use the side path to the Natsuzora area, which is significantly less crowded
  • Closure Alerts: Check the official website post-4401 before visiting between November 1 and March 31, as the Snow Moon shop and mid-field events are closed during winter, and the main hall operates on reduced hours (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) with limited services

Best Time to Visit

Spring (March–May): Spring brings the peak of canola flower season, with golden fields blooming from late March to April, ideal for photo walks and fresh harvest experiences.

Summer (June–August): Summer is the peak season for strawberries and blueberries, with U-pick opportunities and fresh fruit desserts available at the café.

Fall (September–November): Autumn highlights include the annual "Anpan Matsuri" and "Minori-mu Festival," celebrating local bread and seasonal produce from late October.

Winter (December–February): Winter offers cozy visits to the "Yukigetsu" themed area, with warm drinks, seasonal sweets, and live music events from December to March.
