Kyogoku, Home of Famous Spring Water, is the only roadside station in Japan where you can taste and purchase bottled water drawn from the famed "Yōtei no Fukidashi Spring," a naturally filtered, ultra-soft water that flows at a constant 6.5°C and produces up to 80,000 tons daily—equivalent to the daily water needs of 300,000 people. This same pristine water is used to brew the station’s signature Meisui Coffee, a rich, smooth brew with a clean finish, and its best-selling Meisui Coffee Jelly, a uniquely flavorful dessert crafted exclusively with the spring’s pure water. Visitors can also savor rare, locally sourced game meats like Hokkaido bear and deer, available as tender, low-odor sausages and jerky—products not found elsewhere.
