This is the only place where you can taste the uki-pi persimmon manjuu, a signature treat made from locally grown, sun-ripened Fuyu persimmons. Beyond the food, the station’s unique wooden "kudo-style" architecture and panoramic terrace make it a rare stop where you can savor the full essence of Ukiha’s fruit-growing heritage.

• Best Arrival Time: Visit between 9:00 and 9:30 AM on weekends to secure the day’s first batch of fresh-rich Kaki Mochi (Persimmon Mochu), which sells out quickly and is only available during morning hours.

• Hidden Gems: At the Gift Corner in the West Mound Storehouse, ask for the Ukipee Persimmon Mochu—a limited-edition seasonal treat made exclusively from the city’s Honey Persimmon variety, available only from October through March.

• Weekend Special: On Saturdays and Sundays, visit the Ukihaco building between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM to enjoy the persimmon × apple × new pear cold-pressed juice, a rotating seasonal drink made with locally sourced fruit and only available during weekend mornings.

• Seasonal Must-Try: During the period from late October to early December, visit the Fast food Pochi counter before 11:00 AM to purchase the Persimmon Soft Cream, made with fresh local persimmons and milk from Matsuno Farm, which sells out by noon.

• Best View Access: Walk up to the West Mound Viewpoint at 10:30 AM to catch the golden hour light over the Chikugo Plain, as the sun hits the rice fields at this time, creating the best photo opportunity of the day.

• Information Desk Hack: Visit the Ukihaco information desk between 9:00 and 10:00 AM to receive a free Ukipee-themed map with exclusive walking and cycling routes to nearby attractions like the Shimizu Spring and Koiso Kiln, available only during morning hours.

• Off-Peak Shopping: Avoid the lunchtime rush by shopping for fresh produce and seasonal fruit between 1:00 and 2:00 PM on weekdays, when the West Mound Storehouse has the most variety and the least crowd, especially for items like Peaches, Pears, and Grapes.

Spring (March-May): Peak season for seasonal fruits like strawberries and peaches, with the flowery Sakura Festival in March and the annual fruit harvest starting in April.

Summer (June-August): Fresh grapes available from late June through early October, with the seasonal fruit soft serve and cold-pressed juice featuring local produce.

Autumn (September-November): Rich in persimmons, especially the prized "Hosho" variety from October to March, with special events like the persimmon-themed soft serve and juice.

Winter (December-February): The best time to enjoy preserved and chilled persimmons, with the city’s annual Hinamatsuri exhibition in February and year-round fruit gift sales.
