Oda-no-sato Seseragi stands out as the only roadside station in the region offering authentic Odamade—a signature line of handmade ice cream and confections crafted exclusively from locally grown fruits and herbs, including rare mountain berries from the nearby Kita-Daikawa Valley. Visitors can also savor the area’s only Tara Udon, a thick, handmade noodle dish made with river water and seasonal vegetables from smallholder farms in Oda. These uniquely local flavors, paired with panoramic views of the Oda Deep Canyon from the on-site lookout, create an experience found nowhere else.

• Best Arrival Time: Visit by 8:30 AM during spring and summer (April–September) to secure the day’s fresh produce at the specialty shop before the first batch of seasonal vegetables sells out.

• Hidden Gems: Check the specialty shop’s back corner between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM for the daily limited batch of “Odamaido” ice cream with seasonal fruit jam—these are often sold out by 11:00 AM.
