Furakuri Tomiyama stands out as the only roadside station in the region where you can taste伏姫びわワイン—Japan’s rare, small-batch wine made exclusively from the unique "Fukihime" loquat, a fruit grown only in this part of Chiba. The station also offers the only known 萬古焼 (Manku-yaki) style grilled loquat skewers, a local specialty with a smoky, sweet flavor found nowhere else. Visitors can also enjoy fresh 水みそ汁 (salted miso soup with local water), a traditional dish made with water from the area’s pristine wells.

• Best Arrival Time: Visit between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM on weekends to secure the day’s first batch of fresh-baked milk bread from the on-site bakery, which sells out quickly and is not restocked during the day.
